Einstein almost certainly never said this exact sentence. But the idea is real, and it's worth sitting with.

Gratitude is a skill, not a mood. It requires training your attention to notice what's already there , the morning light, the cup of coffee, the person who held the door. Not because life is perfect, but because these things are genuinely worth noticing.

The optimist's secret isn't blind positivity. It's a disciplined practice of attention , choosing, over and over, to notice what's extraordinary about the ordinary.
